Noetic Math Contest


Noetic Math Contest (Problem Solving Contest for Elementary Students for 2nd-6th) The Noetic Math Contest is a biannual math challenge for elementary students. The goal of the competition is to encourage young students' interest in math, to develop their problem solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math. The 2019 Fall Noetic Math Competition will take place at NJ Academy on Wednesday, November 20th (5-6PM), or Saturday, November 23rd (10-11AM). Math Kangaroo


Math Kangaroo Math Kangaroo is an annual mathematical competition for all students from grades 1 to 12. It is held every year on the third Thursday in March. Overview Each student receives a t-shirt, a certificate of participation, and a gift in addition to a competition booklet and a pencil on the test day. Competition questions are appropriate for the students' age, are interesting and challenging. MOEMS (Math Olympiad for Elementary and Middle School Studetnts) Math Problem solving contests for teams of up to 35 students in grades 4 through 8. Division E (Grades 4-6) Division M (Grades 6-8) General Overview Contests are taken in the New Jersey Academy. Each contest consists of five non routine problems. Each student, working alone, scores 1 point for each correct answer. Thus, a student may score up to 25 points per year.
